Day 1. Lahore

Your Pakistani Adventure Begins in Lahore, the cultural capital of the country. Upon arrival, you'll settle into the comfortable Luxus Lahore 4* hotel, where you can unwind and relax after your journey.
In the evening, enjoy a warm welcome dinner, meet your fellow travelers, and dive into the excitement of discussing the upcoming itinerary. The adventure is just getting started!

Day 2. Lahore

Dive into the Heart of Lahore’s Old City as we explore its narrow alleys, vibrant markets, and historic landmarks.
You'll visit the magnificent Lahore Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the awe-inspiring Badshahi Mosque, built in 1674 and recognized as one of the largest mosques in the world.
In the evening, experience the electrifying flag-lowering ceremony at the Wagah Border, a daily spectacle of precision and patriotism at the boundary between Pakistan and India.
End the day with a delightful dinner overlooking the illuminated Badshahi Mosque, a scene that promises to leave a lasting impression.
Return to your hotel for a restful night. Accommodation at Luxus Lahore 4* or a similar option.

Day 3. Lahore - Khewra mines - Islamabad

Start the Day with a Burst of Local Color at the vibrant vegetable market, where springtime watermelon auctions offer a lively and unforgettable experience.
After breakfast, we’ll set off for a 6-hour journey to Islamabad. Along the way, we’ll stop at two extraordinary landmarks:
  • The Katas Raj Temple Complex, dating back to the 7th century, an ancient Hindu pilgrimage site surrounded by myths and legends.
  • The Khewra Salt Mines, the second-largest salt mines in the world, famed for their pink Himalayan salt. According to legend, these deposits were discovered by the horses of Alexander the Great’s army during his campaign.
Arriving in Islamabad, you’ll check in at the Regalia Islamabad hotel (or a similar accommodation) for a relaxing evening and a comfortable night’s stay.

Day 4. Islamabad - Peshawar

Start the day with breakfast before heading out for a morning stroll in Islamabad, including a visit to the iconic Faisal Mosque, one of the largest and most striking mosques in the world.
Afterward, we’ll embark on a 3-hour drive to Peshawar, a city steeped in history and tradition.
Upon arrival, we’ll explore the old city, wandering through its bustling and colorful markets:
  • The legendary Qissa Khwani Bazaar (the "Storytellers' Market"),
  • Meena Bazaar, and
  • The workshops where Pakistan’s famous trucks are intricately decorated.
We’ll also visit the arms market and step into historic homes where local families still reside, giving you a glimpse into the city’s rich heritage.
In the evening, savor Kabuli Pulao and other delicious meat dishes for which Peshawar is renowned.
Overnight at the Roomy Peshawar hotel (or a similar option).

Day 5. Peshawar - Takht-i-Bahi

Morning in Peshawar begins with a visit to the fascinating truck art workshops, where you’ll witness the vibrant and intricate decoration of trucks—a unique and colorful tradition that has become a symbol of Pakistani culture.
Next, we’ll journey to the Takht-i-Bahi Buddhist Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site dating back to the 1st century BCE. Nestled on a hilltop, this ancient monastery offers stunning views and an intriguing glimpse into the region’s Buddhist heritage.
In the afternoon, we’ll return to Islamabad for a relaxing evening and overnight stay at the Grand Islamabad hotel (or a similar option).

Day 6. Skardu - Shigar - Cold desert

Morning Flight to Skardu, the gateway to the majestic Karakoram Range. Upon arrival, we’ll head to the stunning Shigar Valley, renowned for its ancient forts and mosques. Here, we’ll visit the Shigar Fort, a beautifully restored 17th-century structure, and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
In the afternoon, we’ll explore the Sarfaranga Cold Desert, where the striking contrast between golden sands and snow-capped peaks creates a surreal landscape.
Spend the night in a cozy hotel in Skardu, situated at an altitude of 2,200 meters, allowing you to acclimate to the highlands.
Important Note: In case of a flight cancellation to Skardu, we will embark on an overland journey north (approximately 20 hours), with an overnight stay in Besham or Chilas.

Day 7. Skardu. “Pakistan Troll’s Tongue” trekking

After breakfast, we’ll embark on a trekking adventure to the fascinating “Pakistan Troll’s Tongue”, the Manthok Rock, or opt for a more leisurely hike along the scenic trail to the charming Organic Village, offering stunning views and a peaceful ambiance.
In the afternoon, we’ll return to Skardu and take a stroll up to the fort overlooking the city, where you can soak in panoramic vistas of the valley and its majestic surroundings.
Important Note: If the previous day’s flight to Skardu was delayed, we’ll arrive in Skardu today. After settling in, we’ll visit the Cold Desert and the Skardu Fort before relaxing for the evening.

Day 8. Skardu - Hunza

Today, we bid farewell to Baltistan and embark on a journey filled with breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable experiences.
In the morning, we’ll visit the serene Upper and Lower Kachura Lakes, where the calm waters reflect the surrounding mountains. From there, we’ll drive along a picturesque mountain road following the Indus River, making our way to the heart of the Hunza Valley.
Along the route, we’ll stop at:
  • Scenic viewpoints of the majestic Rakaposhi (7,788m),
  • The convergence point of continental plates, and
  • Sections of the ancient Silk Road, steeped in history.
We’ll also get a unique glimpse into gemstone mining, with an opportunity to search for tourmalines and garnets. For the adventurous, there’s the thrilling chance to use the workers' manual cable crossings over the Indus River.
End the day in Aliabad, where we’ll spend the night in a cozy hotel, surrounded by the magical beauty of the Hunza Valley.

Day 9. Discover Karimabad

Today, we delve into the legendary Hunza Valley, the beating heart of the Karakoram Mountains, where history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes come together.
Our first stops are the Baltit and Altit Forts, two ancient strongholds that symbolize the rich heritage of the region.
  • Baltit Fort, over 700 years old, was once the residence of Hunza’s rulers. In the late 19th century, during the era known as the Great Game, this fort became a focal point of geopolitical intrigue between the Russian and British Empires. Fearing the expansion of British India, the ruler of Hunza famously wrote to the Russian Emperor, seeking protection—a vivid example of the complex geopolitical dynamics of the time.
  • Altit Fort, even older than Baltit by several centuries, offers a unique glimpse into medieval life. Wander its narrow lanes, observe the timeless daily routines of local residents, and immerse yourself in the architectural and cultural treasures of this ancient settlement.
After lunch, we’ll continue our exploration of Hunza’s traditions, savoring authentic dishes prepared according to age-old recipes.
In the evening, enjoy a delightful dinner with panoramic views of the mountain peaks, paired with local tea and lively discussions about the day’s discoveries.
Afterward, we’ll travel to Passu, where we’ll settle in for the night, surrounded by the stunning beauty of the region.

Day 10. Attabad lake - Gojal

Today, we journey to the stunning Attabad Lake, a shimmering turquoise gem formed in 2010 when a massive landslide blocked the Karakoram Highway. The resulting natural disaster created this breathtaking mountain lake with crystal-clear waters and dramatic rocky shores. Enjoy a serene boat ride to fully appreciate its beauty.
From there, we continue to a saltwater mountain lake and the striking Passu Glacier, stopping at numerous viewpoints along the way. Marvel at the iconic Passu Cones, a postcard-perfect landmark of the Hunza Valley, and cross thrilling suspension bridges that offer incredible views of the rugged landscape.
In the late afternoon, we’ll arrive at the peaceful village of Morkhun, where we’ll meet a Wakhi family and share a traditional dinner in their home, experiencing the warmth and hospitality of this unique culture.
Afterward, we return to Passu for the night, surrounded by the serene beauty of the mountains.

Day 11-12. Fairy Meadows

Early morning, we leave Passu and head toward the Raikot Bridge, the starting point of our journey to Fairy Meadowsand the base camp of Nanga Parbat. This adventure takes us along one of the region’s most famous and thrilling mountain roads, traveling by 4x4 jeeps through dramatic landscapes.
From there, we’ll hike the final 7 kilometers to Fairy Meadows, with your belongings carried by porters (horses are available for an additional fee). The effort is rewarded with breathtaking views of Nanga Parbat, the “Killer Mountain,” and the majestic Raikot Glacier.
In the evening, capture the iconic reflection of the 8,000-meter peak in a tranquil lake, a scene that photographers and nature lovers cherish.
The following day is all about relaxation and exploration:
  • Unwind in the serene beauty of Fairy Meadows, stroll through the forests, and savor the mountain vistas.
  • For the more adventurous, embark on a moderate trek to the Nanga Parbat Base Camp, an experience offering unparalleled views of this legendary peak.
Overnight stays are in wooden cabins with stoves, providing warmth and comfort in the cool mountain air.

Day 13. Fairy Meadows - Besham

Today, we descend from the serene Fairy Meadows and begin our journey back home. The day starts with the hike back to the Raikot Bridge, followed by a scenic drive toward Besham.
Enjoy the changing landscapes as we retrace our route through the magnificent mountains. Upon arrival in Besham, settle into your hotel for a restful evening and overnight stay, reflecting on the incredible experiences of the past days.

Day 14. Besham - Islamabad

Today, we complete our journey with a drive back to Islamabad, enjoying the last glimpses of Pakistan's breathtaking landscapes along the way.
Upon arrival, you’ll have time to relax or explore the city briefly before heading to the airport for your evening or night flight home, taking with you unforgettable memories of this extraordinary adventure. Safe travels!
